Dual Screen DVD Player

Car DVD player 12v power adapter wont fit in my 12v slot?!?!?

I got a Venturer Dual screen DVD player for my car as a Christmas gift.. The requirements are a 12v thing... where the cigarette lighter thing goes... it's a 12v, but I can't get the thing to fit! Anyone else had this issue? How the hell do I make it fit? I've tried gently squeezing the metal prongs on the side of the adapter (that's what wont go in) but I'm afraid if I squeeze too hard I will crush the fuse inside. Any ideas?

1. check with car audio shop.you might need a different cable(10-15 bucks).
